Twenty-one varieties across five families is too many to explain over the phone — a customer who doesn't know rice ends up hearing a list of names read back to them. At the same time, the two customer types want completely different things: a family buying one bag wants to know what to cook with a variety, while a restaurant or distributor wants volumes and rates. A single brochure page couldn't do both, and "farm-direct" and "premium quality" mean nothing when every rice seller claims the same thing.

Structured the catalogue around the varieties, not a product list

Twenty-one items grouped into the five families a buyer already thinks in — Traditional, White, Red, Aromatic and Hybrid — so the catalogue is navigable in one decision instead of twenty-one.

Two clear paths from the first screen

The hero offers Browse varieties and Wholesale inquiry side by side, so each buyer sees their own route immediately without a distributor being funnelled through a retail catalogue.

Wrote product copy the way a cook thinks about rice

Not "premium quality grain" but what a variety actually is and what you'd do with it — Seeraga Samba as the tiny-grained, intensely fragrant rice of choice for biryani, Mappillai Samba for its fibre and earthy, full-bodied taste.

Earned the quality claim instead of asserting it

The site explains the actual process — bought direct from partnered growers with no middlemen, then cleaned, graded and inspected for consistency season to season — because specifics are what make a claim believable.

Built for mobile data in a district town

A photo-heavy catalogue built in Next.js with optimised imagery, static generation, and a light/dark theme for readability in either condition.
